Phalaenopsis, more commonly known as moth orchids, is the genus of flowering orchids that many often associate with when the word "orchid" comes to mind. Hybrids of this genus are readily found in grocery stores and nurseries world-wide, featuring various shapes and colors. This is a good orchid for someone who is just starting, and flowers can last up to four months.
